DAMMIT. (Although not as severe as you, this is also why I can't have nice things.)

I'm sorry. I empathize. And yeah, my partner read the label which is why I am not eating them. Haven't bought them in two years or so.

Oh, whew. Glad you found out before putting them in your mouth.

But goddammit, why do they have to keep putting corn and soy in everything? I'm sorry.

They say people want more protein. There's been a lot of protests on their Facebook page, though.

Hopefully you noticed this before eating them...

They made the change about 6 months ago. Anne called them to complain and advised that she wouldn't be able to purchase it anymore for the kids and in not quite so many impolite words, what the fuck were they thinking? They said they were responding to consumer requests for more protein in their breakfasts.

They are idiots. They could have launched a new variant, marketed them both, increased their earnings without pissing off longtime fans of the original formula. But nooooo, some asshole with an MBA knew different!

We found a local store brand grape nuts like cereal ("Nutty Nuggets") that the kids accept as authentic. I think Trader Joe's has a version as well that does not have any soy in it.

Good luck.

Thank you for the tips. I haven't had them in about a year and had a craving.

Keep an eye on the TJ's version - usually their cereals are just repackages of major-label cereals, and if Grape Nuts has reformulated they will too.

BTW, they are getting lots of protests on their Facebook page and are selling "Grape-Nuts Vintage" online with the old formulation.

I'm so sorry you've lost another foodstuff!

(On the other hand, just because you can't have something doesn't mean that it's a nice thing...)

I recognize that Grape-Nuts may not be EVERYONE'S nice thing, but to me they were a nice thing. It's just a reminder that I have to read the label EVERY TIME, because they never called out ANYWHERE that they'd reformulated.

Aw, shit. I wondered when the box changed. Dammit.

I try to avoid GMOs, and soy? I don't think any non-GMO is out there anymore. Damn. It.

There's pretty much no non-GMO soy in the US.
